| GirlTECH is a teacher training and student council program that encourages young women to pursue careers in mathematics and science, offering intensive technology training to explore innovative teaching strategies for gender equity in the classroom through a training period at The Rice School and Rice University in Houston, Texas. GirlTECH lesson plans were designed by participating teachers to take full advantage of Internet resources and teach standard concepts in mathematics and sciences in new and exciting ways.
